21st August Update:- Gruha Lakshmi Scheme to be launched on 30th August

The Griha Lakshmi cash benefit program of the Karnataka government is scheduled to begin operations on August 30 in Mysuru. Through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), the state government will give registered female household heads Rs 2,000 each month under this program. The Maharaja’s College grounds in Mysuru city would be the site of the inaugural event. Lakshmi Hebbalkar, the minister for women’s and children’s welfare, stated during a press conference in Mysuru that the cash benefit scheme aims to empower women and that 1.9 crore people have enrolled as beneficiaries. He stated that the initiation of the Rs 2,000 transfer to the beneficiaries’ accounts would occur after the inauguration. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi, and others will attend the inaugural event.
